Vimala Raman was born on January 23, 1980 in Sydney, Australia. At the young age of five she started her training in Bharatanatyam from Natanalaya Dance Academy, Sydney. Vimala bagged the Miss India Australia title in 2004 and was also titled as Miss India Australia cyberqueen. Vimala Raman acted with actor Mohanlal in College Kumaran. The actress was seen in Aptha Rakshaka by P. Vasu where she played the lead role of Nagavalli alongside Vishnuvardhan and Sandhya.
